Three Good Choices, One Winner!

Indeed, all three models presented in this top three are excellent vehicles, but only one really has all the qualities: the Nissan car.

The 2021 Nissan Leaf

At the forefront since its debut as the world’s first accessible electric car, the Leaf has been surpassing itself year after year to maintain its leadership position. Moreover, it does it with great success: not only does it have a great range, it’s also powerful and provides all the driving pleasure you’ve come to expect.

Its electric engine develops 214 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque and has a range of up to 363 km! Technologies such as e-Pedal and hill start assist make it easy to drive, in addition to numerous safety technologies. It includes blind spot detection, forward collision warning, emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, just to name a few.

It doesn’t compromise on comfort either, with a cabin that includes all the necessary amenities, including heated front and rear seats and a heated steering wheel. Its technologies also live up to the vehicle’s modernity, with standard GPS and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications.

The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt

The Chevrolet Bolt is also cited as being in a good position in its class, with an exemplary range of 383 km, comparable to the Leaf to within a few kilometres. The appearance is equally attractive, with its bright colour choices, but unfortunately, the interior doesn’t measure up to the rest. Not only are the materials used cheap, but many consumers have complained about uncomfortable seats.

Sure, it has a long-range and a decent power output, but will you really want to stay in it for long distances?

The 2021 Hyundai Ioniq

The Hyundai Ioniq is a good choice with a bold look on the outside and a cabin of better quality than that of the American Bolt. It also offers interesting technologies like the Nissan Leaf. However, on the road, it’s less interesting than its rival. In fact, it develops a meager 134 horsepower and 218 lb-ft, thus offering very little driving pleasure and won’t get you hooked like the Leaf.

It also has a significantly shorter range of up to 274 km and generally offers fewer amenities than its competitor.

In short, all these cars have qualities that make them good choices, but none surpass the Nissan Leaf, which offers more all around. Whether it’s for its power, its range, or simply for its comfort and driving pleasure, it’s convincing and remains in a class of its own.
